4 Unique Features of ReverStarGo
Not Reversi, not Go — a unique experience only RSG offers.
⚡ Quick Matches on 37 Cells
ReverStarGo is played on a compact 37-cell star-shaped board, far smaller than Go's 19x19 (361 cells) or Reversi's 8x8 (64 cells).
Each game takes just 1 to 3 minutes. Perfect for a commute, a break, or a quick match before bed.
"I don't have time" is no longer a reason to skip a game.
🎯 6 Corners, Wider Strategy
Reversi has just 4 corners. In contrast, the RSG star board has 6.
And because of the star's structure, there are no long straight edges. The edges cross one another, so the classic "edge control" strategies from Reversi simply don't apply. RSG demands its own strategic thinking.
All 6 corners become focal points from the opening moves — a condensed, intense battle with no waiting around for the mid-game.
🔄 Zero-to-Hero Comeback
Even when all your stones are taken, restart from the central Core Point.
Take a single corner — and despair turns into triumph.
ReverStarGo features the Core Point (CP), a special cell at the board's center. Even in the most desperate situation, with every stone removed, you can place on the CP and restart.
From a sparse board, capturing a single corner can flip the entire balance of power. From zero to victory — an experience only RSG offers.
"The comeback after losing all your stones — it's genuinely exhilarating. This kind of moment exists only in RSG."
— from the developer
♾ No Move Limit
In Reversi, the game ends once the board fills up — at most 60 moves. But RSG borrows Go's "capture by surrounding" mechanic, which removes stones from the board.
Cells cleared this way become available again. As a result, there is no theoretical cap on the number of moves.
Paired with the ko rule (which forbids exact board repetition), RSG offers a vast and intricate strategic space.

Play a Remote Opponent
🌐 Just share a 4-digit room code
Tap "Create room" and a 4-digit number appears. Give it to your opponent, they type it in, and the game begins. No sign-up, no extra cost.
You can send short messages during the game. Your opponent's stone appears on your board in real time — even before the Core Point colour is settled — so it feels like sitting across the same board.
If the connection drops, it reconnects automatically. Even if you close the app, "Reconnect to last game" will pick up right where you left off.
⏱ Game Clock (main time + byoyomi)
Play with proper tournament timing. Choose from 30s per move, 3m + 30s, 10m + 30s or 15m + 60s.
Just like in Go, the byoyomi count resets after every move. Main time is per game, so it resets for game 2 of a Reverse Match.
Running out of time only shows a notice — the game continues. Stepping away or losing signal will never cost you the match on its own.
