How Ranks Work
Win against the CPU to gain experience and rank up. Higher ranks unlock new CPU levels.
At certain ranks, you must pass a Promotion Exam (win the majority in a series) to advance.

🔄 Reverse Match
To eliminate the advantage of going first or second, matches at Lv.5 or higher automatically use the "Reverse Match" format.
① Two Games per Set
You play the same opponent twice, with black and white swapped between the two games.
② Total Score Decides the Winner
The player with the higher combined score over the two games wins. Even if you lose the first game, a strong second game can turn it around.
③ Colors Alternate Across Sets
When playing multiple sets, the colors naturally alternate between sets:
· Set 1: Black → White
· Set 2: White → Black
· Set 3: Black → White
(This pattern continues in regular matches as well, unless you change colors manually.)
④ Scope
All Lv.5+ matches (regular matches and rank-up exams).
* Not applied in two-player mode or tutorials.
